After the successful shipping of iPad and iPhone, what’s the next step for Apple? Obviously, the company will announce incremental upgrades of its existing products as they already upgraded their Mac mini. It is also likely that Apple will tweak its iPod and Mac products over the next several months.
This year it is pretty much likely that Apple will make some changes in iPod Touch’s hardware. Like adding a dual-camera system, high-resolution Retina Display, the Apple A4 chip, and additional battery and memory that the iPhone 4 has.
The weakest link among Apple’s product line up – the Apple TV set-top box – will sooner or later be unveiled as an improved Apple TV gadget. So what might it looks like? Probably, it will sit on top of your TV with a built-in camera for a FaceTime video chat sessions plus an Apple App store. The Apple TV can have a smaller, with no spinning hard drive and iAds. And maybe it will be built into an actual TV the same way Google TV is setup into Sony TV. What’s best is that the Apple TV can come in cheaper at around $99 (US) to $149 (US) ideally.
Seeing the iPhone 4 can help us assume what iPad 2 will look like. The upgrade can include a front-facing camera for FaceTime video chat, a Retina Display that will make reading e-books and web pages even better, and a new flat-back glass case or lighter metal case.
Everybody thinks that Apple must sell their iPhones at Verizon Wireless because it’ll help the company sell more phones. What would an iPhone for Verizon looks like? Apple might introduce a smaller iPhone at Verizon or it can be similar to the current iPhone 4 but with slight different guts.
MacBook Air has probably reached the end of its line as iPad has been launched. But as long as Apple ships Mac laptops, we have to assume that the next MacBook Air in a few years or so can be so thin and light with a longer battery life and maybe even a non-Intel chip inside.
