It's 50 percent more powerful than its predecessors. With lightning fast processing speed from Intel Xeon, all-new ATI graphics and expandable memory, Mac Pro is something to anticipate this August!

announced last Tuesday that its new Pro desktop is arriving this August. The hardware is sporting a new tower of up to 12 processors. That’s 50 percent faster than its predecessor!

The new Mac Pro features the latest quad-core and 6-core Intel Xeon processors, and all-new graphics plus the option for up to four 512GB solid state drives (SSD). The processor can run up to 3.33GHz using a single die design, so they can share up to 13MB L3 cache. This improves the efficiency and increases the processing speed at the same time.

An integrated memory controller, Turbo Boost, and Hyper Threading is included in the system. The integrated memory speeds up the bandwidth and reduces memory latency. Turbo Boost dynamically power up the processor up to 3.6GHz, while Hyper Threading creates up to 24 virtual core. Apple’s newest desktop also comes with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphic processor with 1GB of memory. What’s good is that customers can configure-to-order the hardware to ATI Radeon HD 5870 with the same memory size. For the first time, Mac Pro consumers have the option to order a 512GB SSD for excellent reliability and performance. The new Mac Pro can provide ultra-high speed disk bandwidth and random disk performance, by installing up to four SSD drives in the internal drive bay of the system.

Mac Pro also highlights its two Mini DisplayPorts, that allow customers to connect two LED Cinema Displays without an additional graphic card or adapter. Also included is a dual-link DVI port that supports DVI-based displays of up to 2560×1600 pixels.
