Amazon Presents The Kindle
Get ready for the new version of Kindle. It's 21% smaller and 15% lighter than its predecessor. Coming your way this August.
We all perceived the possibilities and now its for real. Today, Amazon introduced a new version of the Kindle, the reading device for e-book geeks. The hand held device to be released on August 27 is 21% smaller and 15% lighter than its predecessor. It has 20% faster refresh rate on its E link screen and now comes in two colors, graphite and white. To add up features on this new sweet, there are two radio configuration, $139 for the WiFi only version and $189 for the 3G one with AT&T network to work with. The screen is same old brand new though there are a few upgrades like faster page turn and high contrast. The device is cranked up with a 4GB memory. The battery life with no wireless on is 1 month and 10 days if WiFi is on.
Other tweaks added are on the keyboard and the 5-way controls have been streamlined and altered. The rocker is now compact and flush with the gadget, side buttons were more emphasized. Plus it also icludes of the experimental Webkit based browser.
