Blackberry will Soon Release its own Tablet
Is Blackberry envious over iPads's fame? Coming your way is the Blackberryy-powered tablet dubbed as Blackpad.
The Blackberry-powered device is said to have an iPad-inspired screen dimensions, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity options. The last two features will play significant functions in video conferencing. A couple of cameras also fit into the tablet, one in the front and another at the back.
Research in Motion, the company behind Blackberry, is not confirming or denying anything though. This news spread rapidly after RIM took over the domain BlackPad.com. Neither this has been responded to by the company.
Whether shelves get filled up by the rumored BlackPad, the case for this tablet device is different from that of iPad’s. The existence of an ecosystem of multimedia content in the iTunes store called for the arrival of an iOS powered device. Blackberry does not have that kind of ecosystem. What the smartphone does well is support emails, instant messaging and organization of stuff around. Blackberry should be able to translate these features into a tablet-form device–or RIM is better off outside the band.View Article Source »
