Sigma SD15 DSLR Imposes Challenge to Users

The SD15 is an attention-grabber but performance-wise, how did it rate?

Many of photographers’ attention were captured when Sigma SD15 was released. It has the same 14.06 megapixel Foveon X3 sensor as with SD14 but comes with added features like True II processor, a 3 inch, high-resolution 460k dot LCD screen, extended ISO range of 50-3200, 77-segment AE sensor, a continuous shooting speed of 3 frames per second for up to 21 RAW images, and a 100,000 exposure shutter life.

Amidst the high-tech features it has to offer, the SD15 is perceived by the photographers as a ‘challenge’. The review posted by also suggested that this should not be the only DSLR you should use. However, the review gave positive comments regarding the absence of odd color casts and white balance problems encountered with the previous models.

The Sigma SD15 is out in the market with the price of £900 / $989.
