Nike Shoes Pimped to Become Wii Controllers
You don’t need hands for your Wii controllers ---it’s in the shoes.
Nike challenged 78 artists from all walks of life to pimp a pair of Nike shoes. One of the contestant who went up for the challenge is Nick Marsh. He made a pair of Air Maxes into a wicked Wii controllers.
Marsh sliced open the soles of his Nike Maxes and placed the Balanced Board sensors inside. To elaborate on how he made such invention, Marsh said:
The user simply puts on the shoes, turns on the balance board/shoes (nike-wiis) and then plays as normal, except it’s not a normal way to play. As you are now physically attached the to the board, the actions have changed, you can no longer simply step off, so you must lift your foot and stand on one leg or sit down when no pressure is required, making for an altogether interestingly different experience.
This upgraded shoes bring a unique and intense gaming experience. Though the creator said it might not look the hippiest shoes in the block but what matters is that this pair of Air Maxes functions well as a Wii controller.View Article Source »
