Toshiba Resolves your Need for Speed

The company's new offerings, UHS-I SDHC and microSDHC cards, promise increased data transfer.

Japanese multi million company, , unveiled its new series of SDHC UHS-I and compliant .

The SDHC UHS-I cards come in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. The company said it has speed with up to 95MB/s for read speed and 80MB/s for write speed.

On the other hand, micro SDHC comes in 4GB, 8GB and 16GB capacities. It has a respective read and write speeds of  45MB/s and 20MB/s. Toshiba says it is the first micro SDHC memory cards with SD 3.0, UHS50.

These products of Toshiba is set to be mass produced starting November 2010. The shipment also kicks of the same month. These two cards are considered to have the fastest read and write speeds in the world. The increased data transfer is important for applications which require continuous shooting like cameras, videos and HD content.

With this development, Toshiba is still on the notch to lead the NAND flash memory market in removable card storage.

This new memory card collection was already featured during IFA 2010 in Germany. On September 21, it will be showcased on PHOTOKINA 2010 in Koln, Germany.
