[RUMOR] Target US to Sell Apple iPad Beginning October 3
Though it is not quite like smoking guns, the rumor that Target is set to sell Apple's iPad is something the consumers should keep an eye on.
Rumors that’s spreading over the internet has it that Target’s US Stores may start offering iPad on October 3 in an effort to expand the retail presence of the Apple tablet. The product will be available at six price points, ranging from $499 (16GB, Wi-Fi only) to $829 (64GB with 3G). In addition to this, the device that is set to go on sale this October will be in the “Digital Audio” Department of the store.
Earlier this year, Apple executives indicated that the iPad will be limited in a number of locations only. Walmart also pointed out its hope of selling the device by the end of this year. But expansion of iPad to new retail locations did not initialized, as strong sales left the stores with limited inventory. However, with Apple’s recent improvement of shipping time, it suggests that production problems have been resolved. As what Apple COO, Tim Cook, has said: The brick-and-mortar availability of iPad would expand “over time.”View Article Source »
