The user who uploaded the photo is , a 20-year-old photographer and he tagged his photo with the caption: “I am Mr. 5 Billion, and there ain’t nothing you can do to stop me.”

This was a positive sign for Flickr, who everybody though will be going away anytime soon since Facebook has now become the largest on the Internet. Add to this progress is the increasing number of uploads on Flickr since the late 2007.

Flickr still has the edge since it allows users to upload of any size and unlimited number of for the pro-subscription. Plus, many photographers still favors the site.

On its About page, Flickr defined their goals. “In Flickr, you can give your friends, family, and other contacts permission to organize your stuff — not just to add comments, but also notes and tags. People like to ooh and ahh, laugh and cry, make wisecracks when sharing photos and videos. Why not give them the ability to do this when they look at them over the internet?”
