Another Look on ASUS U35Jc

Though ASUS have its name engraved on some ultra-portable laptops, not all of their products (no matter how much increase in capacity it got) is worthy of a switch. Check out the boons and banes of ASUS U35Jc.
It seems like the folks at ASUS had a string of pretty worthy ultra-portables attached to their name. But here’s how our configuration review shakes out, as we take another look on ASUS U30Jc’s sibling — the ASUS U35Jc.
As far as the general specs are concerned, the ASUS U35Jc is an increment at its best. It gives a minor bump to the i3-370M that runs at 2.4 GHz. And albeit it has the same Intel HM55 chipset and 4GB of DDR3 like its predecessor, the hard disk has a capacity of 500GB. Still, it jogs in a slow pace of 5400 RPM. The U35Jc also has the same NVIDIA GeForce G 310M graphics, but only 1GB of video memory that makes its clocks cut down at 1334MHz. Therefore, it is a killer headache to see gaming performance in a U35Jc.
But other than that, the remaining major components from U30Jc was not virtually replaced. The only thing missing in the device is the optical drive, making the unit physically smaller and almost a pound lighter.
To sum it all up, the ASUS U35Jc can be a catch for those who are looking for a laptop with a lower price. But if the loss of the drive upsets you, have a go on its siblings.
