It has been a long while since we experienced revamp on N900. We are talking about updates on OS and Firmware. But here is something to get excited about. Meego blogged that there is a soon update on Nokia N900 OS.
Whatever you say about Nokia, at least it never leaves a promise broken. Here’s what I’m saying, last March the folks behind the biggest cellphone company said that they are making a dual OS for us, specifically for N900. According to Meego blog, the much-awaited PR 1.3 update is coming in a short while. Here’s a real welcome, a dual boot between Maemo and Meego. The last time we heard of an update was during the month of May. This is an exciting news, isn’t?
Nokia fanatics must be jumping for joy. Who doesn’t want a new Meego OS? And who doesn’t want a Maemo dual boot? Firmware is the life of the device. Let’s keep our eyes and ears open for any news. Meanwhile we quoted some of Meego’s words about it.
“On the Maemo side, there have been interesting, supporting developments going on, as well. The PR 1.3 update is quite close now, and with that you can easily dual boot between Maemo and Meego on your N900. There is also a possibility of developing applications supporting both operating systems, based on Qt and Qt Mobility APIs on the Maemo side. It means that you can develop once in PC with Qt Creator, and test your applications on both Maemo and MeeGo, directly on your N900 device!”View Article Source »
