ATI Radeon HD 6990: Not Yet Available

After NVIDIA announced the release of their so-called fastest DirectX 11 card -- the GeForce GTX 580. AMD have a message for their customers: Sorry, no dual-GPU for anticipating folks this year.

If you are looking for ’s response to NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 580, the company has some bad news. During ’s analyst day, the GPU roadmaps revealed that the won’t be available until the first quarter of 2011. Though it is not considered as a major delay, it gives the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 ample time to take the market. Though the Radeon HD 6970 GPU can give NVIDIA’s so-called fastest DirectX 11 card an even competitor, many were hoping that the card — dubbed as — will hit the shelves this year.
