PS3 Steps Up In Battle Against Piracy with v3.55 Firmware

Sony's crowning glory has so far been impressive in its own fight against software piracy, but with jailbreakers constantly trying to hack the colossal gaming console on a day-to-day basis, will this new firmware be enough?
Sony has announced the release of its latest firmware, v3.55. In what is considered by the company as a ‘minor update that improves security patch’, could this mean that piracy has finally taken land in Playstation 3?
Since the console has been released, Sony has been exceptional in securing PS3 against hackers and ne’er-do-wells. But several months ago, jailbreakers have created a device that can copy PS3 games (a feat that a substantial number of people have been waiting). Sony immediately took action before further damage can be done, but hackers quickly made improvements that allow them to continue their operation.
Will the v3.55 be among the first that will effectively continue the never ending battle against piracy? Will Sony crumble under the relentless actions of jailbreakers or will the company succeed in fending them off overtime?
