AMD's fastest desktop processor to date, the Phenom II X6 1100T ups the ante in the company's line of hexa-cores.

Just in time for the holiday season, releases the next incarnation of the series, the X6 . AMD shows off the as the fastest processor to date that boasts a improved and flexible overclocking.

But despite all the hype we’ve been getting, the performance still falls short against ’s impressive (and more expensive) line. Reception has been pretty cold from people at TechSpot and HotHardware as they dub the 1100T a “little improvement” from the X6 .

The only good thing that we can root out from 1100T’s release is the price cut of 1090T. 1100T sells for $265 which was the previous price of 1090T before they cut it down to $230. 1100T nonetheless is very cheap for a high quality . But if you’re a bargain-hunter, then 1090T might be a better choice over 1100T.
