Red Dead Redemption is Game of the Year

Red Dead Redemption and Bioware claim the top prizes in the recently concluded Spike TV's Video Game Awards 2010. Who else made it on the list?
It was a night full of surprises and fanboy/fangirl squeals as the show kicked off with host, tv celeb Neil Patrick Harris violently shooting people in top hats with a machine gun. And if that doesn’t spell peonage, then maybe a couple of trailers from some of the most anticipated video games for 2011 would. Batman: Arkham City, Mass Effect 3, and SSX Deadly Descents rocked the video game world down to its core.
And an awards show wouldn’t be complete with the awards (duh). Red Dead Redemption, the old western, open-world action adventure game developed by Rockstar Games bagged the coveted Game of the Year award where it bested crowd favorites, God of War III, Halo: Reach, Mass Effect 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Studio of the Year award goes to Bioware, the mastermind of Mass Effect 2, where it most likely went neck and neck with Blizzard Entertainmen, Bungie Studios, and RockStar games.
