No Google Fiber Pilot City Yet
It seems like Google hasn't chosen its trial city for the Google Fiber project yet. With time flying so fast, it is very odd that the search giant hasn't found its target pilot community yet.
It was February of this year when Google announced its plans for the Google Fiber project. The aim of this project is to build and test ultra high-speed broadband networks in a small number of trial locations all over US. Google said that once March 26 passed, they would evaluate the submissions from interested communities, and will announce its target location later this year.
But with just over two weeks left of 2010, Google hasn’t chosen a pilot community yet. It seems that people have to wait longer to find out which community the search giant has chosen. Google posted on their company blog that they are eyeing 2011 for the announcement. They also clarified that they need more time to decide on what’s going to be a pilot city for the Google Fiber project. That being said, more updates are sure to come, so check back at Gadg more often.View Article Source »
