Leaked Blizzard Project Slate and Project Titan; Too Good to be True?
World of Warcraft 4th and 5th expansion well underway? StarCraft II expansions on the works, too?! Diablo III expansions already plotted before the release of the game itself? What's the deal with Project Titan? Is this too good to be true?
It’s been almost a month since Blizzard’s rumored project slate was leaked over the internet, and rocked the gaming community to its core. Up until now, the schedules still run down the spines of the fans as they somehow have an idea when the next expansions of StarCraft 2, Diablo III, and World of Warcraft will be released. That is despite the fact that Blizzard never confirmed these information.
Judging by the way things are dated, the slate could be 90% accurate as the year differences sound plausible. That is, if you’re running a gaming business, and if you’re basing it on how Blizzard has scheduled the previous expansions of World of Warcraft. It looks like gamers will be seeing StarCraft 2’s expansion by the end of 2011, along with the much anticipated return of Diablo series with Diablo III.
The next World of Warcraft expansion is set for Q2 of 2012, but fans will definitely see lots of patches before that happens. Blizzard seems to have already estimated the release date of the 5th WOW expansion, further proving that they won’t easily let their baby rust as it goes for it’s 10th anniversary.
But the most intriguing part is the Project Titan which Blizzard has confirmed to be their next MMORPG. Some fans speculate that this is pretty much the next big thing after World of Warcraft, and may turn out to be a mythical WOW-killer. No details yet were released as to what Project Titan will essentially be about.
If whatever the project slate mentions is true, then loyal Blizzard fans are going to have an amazing five years ahead. Blizzard FTW! What do you think about the schedules set?
