Apple: No Show at CES 2011

What do you call it when you have 120,000 people and an elephant in the room? It's the International Consumer Electronics Show. Too bad, the elephant - Apple Inc. - is no show at the event.

The Cupertino-based company, Inc., will not be present at this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show. It’s a bit disappointing, knowing that is the most important new product for the industry. The have been strong since its debut, cracking the code for the computer market single-handedly. Though Apple is known for staging its own event whenever they present a product, it would be fun to see the company as an elephant at the CES wherein nearly every other known manufacturers are present. But no matter how many computer tablets hit the market, they will be having a hard time catching up to Apple’s lead. The company was able to sell 7.4 million units during its first six months, and there’s every indication that the tablet is one of the most popular holiday gifts last year. Its presence also falls on Verizon Wireless, which will unveil its first 4G network at . More over, Apple is anticipated to introduce an iPhone that runs on Verizon this year, but it seems unlikely to happen at .
