The new Personal Hotspot feature on iOS 4.2.5 will not remain exclusive to the CDMA variant of the iPhone 4, and will arrive with the release of iOS 4.3 for existing GSM-based handsets, according to a new rumor.
According to a new rumor, the new Personal Hotspot on iOS 4.2.5 will not be iPhone 4 CDMA-exclusive. It is also expected to arrive upon the release of iOS 4.3 for existing GSM handsets. The feature will be part of a purported iOS 4.3 update. The Personal Hotspot feature is included in iOS 4.2.5 that was spotted at the CDMA iPhone hardware pre-release last Tuesday. The feature can be found in the Settings application, and it can be turned on or off while the Wi-Fi password can be changed. Since the feature was first revealed last Tuesday, Apple has not made any mention of Personal Hotspot.
