PlayStation 3 Version of Valve’s Portal 2 Goes Cross-Platform

Get your gear on as Portal 2 goes cross-platform that will allow you to play against the toughest players from different consoles.
Portal 2 fans can definitely shout out loud as Valve reveals that the PlayStation 3 version of Portal 2 will have Steam features that will allow players to enjoy multi-platform perks such as cross-platform (PC/Mac vs. PS3) play for multiplayer games and cross-platform chat. What’s more, by just linking their PSN and Steam accounts, PS3 players of Portal 2 can unlock Steam Play (PC and Mac) copy of Portal 2 for free.
“Working together with Sony we have identified a set of features we believe are very compelling to gamers. We hope to expand upon the foundation being laid in Portal 2 with more Steam features and functionality in DLC and future content releases.” And compelling they are as several Portal fans have expressed great gratitude to this move.
Valve is the same company that has given birth to the world’s best game franchises like Half-Life and Counter-Strike.
Portal 2 is set for a release on the PlayStation 3, PC, Mac and Xbox 360 this April.
