Maingear Launches eX-15 Laptop with Sandy Bridge and GTX 485; Sony Unveils VAIO SA and SB Laptop Series

Speed is everything these days, especially when it comes to laptops. Maingear and Sony have stepped up to the plate with their newest creations.

It’s the battle of the laptops everyone as and Sony unveils their latest brood in their roster. shows off their super buffed eX-L 15 laptop, while Sony isn’t falling behind with their new SA and SB series. Both are promising to have processing speed unlike any other as they’re equipped with Core i7s and powerful and AMD graphic cards, but will they make the cut and charm the consumers despite a jaw-dropping price tag?

The 15.6 inch eX-L 15 is packed with speed as it possess a variety of the new Sandy Bridge chips, with the Core i7 2920XM at the helm of the group. While it’s graphics are powered by NVIDIA’s prized GeForce GTX 400 series, the GeForce GTX 460M and the GTX 485M. RAM is at its finest as the laptop can carry up to 16GM of DDR3-1333 memory, topped off with a 2x Blu-ray reader, HDMI/DVI outputs, and an impressive 1920 x 1080 screen resolution which can either be glossy or matte. With a price starting at $1,579, is there really a laptop that can really compare or even try to compete with this one?

Well Sony isn’t falling far from behind as they unveil their and SB series over at the European E-trailers. With an i7-2620M doing all the processing, and an AMD Radeon graphics card for the visuals department, this 1600 x 900 resolution 13.3-inch screen laptop is definitely not a pushover when its pitted against the other in the market. Although the price could be a choker here as the company tagged the devices for approximately $2,500.
