Silver PlayStation 3 Slim Soon Available… in Japan

The PlayStation 3 Slim will now be available in a shade of silver. But don’t get your hopes too high up because these are only available in Japan. No official word from Sony if the silver consoles will see the light of day in North America and other parts of the world. Although it would be a wonder why they considered doing this after a couple of years since the PlayStation 3 Slim was released. Is it another gimmick to bring Xbox and Nintendo fans to the Sony side? Definitely we won’t be seeing already-owners of the PS3 slim getting these sooner or later.

The “Satin Silver” PS3 Slim has the same shade of the original silver PS3. It will be unleashed in Japan on March 10 as a limited edition and has a price tag of ¥29,980 (USD$365) for the 160GB and ¥34,980 (USD$427) for the 320GB.
