Australia Gets Only One Game on Nintendo 3DS Launch

What better way to enjoy your brand spankin' new Nintendo 3DS than to play it with only ONE game.
And we thought 16 games aren’t enough for a console release as big as the Nintendo 3DS. Apparently, people need to appreciate what they’re gonna get, especially for those living in the US. Reports have revealed that the land down under, Australia will only have ONE, you heard that right, ONE single 3DS game available once the Nintendo 3DS goes into full swing there on March 31. And of all the games that could’ve been the one to baptized the sweet Nintendo 3DS, it had to be Nintendogs + cats (although we bet some people would be fluttering about in excitement with this… anyone?.
Australia’s got it really tough. While the whole world is celebrating the herald of the revolutionary 3D-capable handheld console with 16 games in the U.S., 13 in Europe, and eight in Japan, Australia seems to have gotten the wrong side of the deal. Although Nintendogs + cats will be joined by impressive titles Super Street Fighter IV, Pro Evolution Soccer 3D, Super Monkey Ball 3D and Lego Star Wars III, there has been no confirmation when these games will come to the rescue of Australians being harassed by a bunch of animals.
Steel Driver and Pilotwings Resort will be making an appearance at the region also, but the dates have yet to be confirmed. Third-party games like Rayman 3D, Ridge Racer and Ghost Recon on the other hand are tagged as “coming soon.”
So come March 31, we’re not particularly sure if Australia will be partying outside gaming stores once they get their Nintendo 3DS. Maybe they can make the dogs and cats in the game do hypnotizing tricks to convince them that everything will pan out nicely in the end.
