March 2 Will Be the Day the World Knows iPad 2
iPad 2 is making an official appearance this March 2! Mark your calendars and check out Apple's newest champion in the tablet wars.
Tired of the endless rumors looming around cyberspace? We are, too. But take arms as All Things D sparks a strong rumor that Apple will announce the iPad 2 at their much-anticipated event on March 2. Of course, we’ll also most likely to see some inside scoop of your favorite Apple devices including the refreshed MacBook Pro line-up.
The iPad 2 has been going around for a long while now, with rumors going as far as the eye can see. But practicality demands a little more humility for the successor of the highly successful iPad tablet as recent reports suggest that the iPad 2 will be a thinner but more powerful model of the iPad. The tablet will equip one of Qualcomm’s multimode chips and will run on both GSM and CDMA-based networks; it will also have a front-facing camera plus a Facetime video chat support.
Unlike the iPad though, the iPad 2 will face some intense competition once it comes out, as several manufacturers, ranging from Motorola to Samsung, comes prepared complete with its most lethal weapon: Google’s Honeycomb. But perhaps Apple has enough loyal fans to maintain their status as the king of the tablets.
There have been no confirmation if Steve Jobs will be at the Apple event. And although his health condition points to a negative, a recent dinner with U.S. President Barack Obama might be the sign that the Apple behemoth is making an apperance in the momentous occasion.
