Nintendo DS with Gaming Legends’ Sigs Up at eBay for Japan Disaster Relief
It's time to help save Japan with the power of a Nintendo DS, five of Nintendo's greatest people that the gaming industry has ever seen, and eBay.
Have you done your humanitarian duty to support the relief efforts for Japan’s quake and tsunami victims? Well this one’s willing to give a very rare collectible just for the cause. eBay username ‘meaganvanb’ has put up a red, original Nintendo DS bearing five of some of Nintendo’s most legendary names in gaming history for sale on the online-auction site. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross disaster relief effort in Japan, which we all know has been shattered by a massive earthquake and an unforgiving tsunami.
According to the eBay page, the Nintendo DS has the signatures of the following:
Koji Kondo: A legendary video game composer who composed the classic Mario and Zelda tunes, among many others.
Charles Martinet: Mario’s official voice actor since 1995. He also provides voices for Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, and more.
Eiji Aonuma: A video game designer and director who oversaw several Legend of Zelda titles including Ocarina of time, Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Phantom Hourglass, and more.
Shigeru Miyamoto: One of the most iconic video game designers in history. Miyamoto is credited with the creation of Mario, Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, and more.
Martin Leung: Known as the “Video Game Pianist,” Martin became famous for playing the Super Mario Bros theme blindfolded. He now tours the world and performs with Video Games Live.
As of this writing, the item has a bid of $1,225.00 and is set to be up for atleast six more days. The auctioneer will present a certificate to the winning bidder proving that the money has been given to the Red Cross.
