AT&T Gives Free Calls to Japan
After the devastating Japan earthquake, AT&T helps out their customers by giving free calls and texts to Japan.
In a press release sent out yesterday, AT&T stated that wireless postpaid customers can make long distance calls from US and Puerto Rico to Japan — free of charge. In addition to this, SMS from Japan – originating from a US number – will also be free.
More over, AT&T will allow residential, postpaid customers to seek credits for up to one hour of direct calling to Japan. According to AT&T’s Senior VP of Voice and Data Products, Mark Collins: “We want to help our customers connect with loved ones in Japan in anyway we can.”
AT&T also joined force with Red Cross to enable people donate $10 via SMS. Just text “redcross” to 90999, and your donation will be sent with no SMS rate charges.View Article Source »
