Minecraft Gets Wolves on Next Update; Achievement System in the Works
It's going to be a longer and more rabid Minecraft with an achievement system and wolves.
If you’re looking for another reason to spend countless hours playing Minecraft, well then Minecraft creator – Markus “Notch” Persson – has dropped two bombs that will blow your blocked-up minds: Achievements and Wolves.
Yep, you heard that right. Minecraft, the PC game phenomenon, is going to have an achievement system that will further lengthen game play. Persson assured though that the achievements won’t be tedious as they “…will NOT be chores like ‘cut down 10,000 trees’, but rather challenges like ‘ride a pig off a cliff.” No date has been unveiled as to when gamers will be getting the achievement system, but developers are working on it as we speak.
Another addition to Minecraft is the new mob, wolves. “You can tame it and order it to follow you around, and it’ll work as a pet. They’re fairly rare, but they won’t despawn once you’ve tamed them,” said Persson. The wolves are coming to the game on the next update, so keep your eyes peeled! Here’s a video clip of what the howling additions look like in the game:View Article Source »
