BlackBerry Playbook Now Supports Android Apps
It's now official! The upcoming BlackBerry Playbook will support Android Apps. Are you ready to grab your BlackBerry tablet on April?
Research In Motion confirms that its upcoming BlackBerry Playbook will support BlackBerry Java and Android Apps. Last January, there were reports that RIM was working to make its devices compatible to Android Apps. This was due to the manufacturer’s desire to accommodate the existing Java environment.
But last Thursday, BlackBerry manufacturer extends its gratitude to two new “app players” that offers application run-time environment for Android 2.3 apps and BlackBerry Java apps. And now, users can download applications of both platforms from BlackBerry App World, and run them on the QNX-based Playbook. Moreover, RIM will also support game engines from Ideaworks Labs and Unity Technologies.
So now that the rumors were confirmed, are you going to grab a BlackBerry Playbook next month?View Article Source »
