The sword-wielding warrior – Kenshi – is making another appearance, becoming one of the characters to have ever appeared in almost every single incarnation of Mortal Kombat.
Scarlet on the other hand, has a different story. The seemingly sister of Jade, Kitana and Milena was once a glitch at the original Mortal Kombat arcade game where the aforementioned three sisters came out in blood red costumes. Players thought that it was a hidden character in the game despite having the same moves of their originally chosen fighter. But according to Netherrealm’s Hans Lo, Scarlet is now for real.
Hans Lo elaborated, “People always thought it was a hidden unlockable character and it wasn’t, it was purely a programming glitch.” He further added, “She’s no longer a glitch – she’s an actual character, and she’ll be coming pretty soon post-launch.” Long live glitches turned real characters!
