Lenovo Rolls-out W520 and T420s Notebooks with Intel Sandy Bridge Chips

Lenovo launches the W520 and T420s notebooks. Impressive specs, but nothing out of the ordinary here, folks.

Summoning followers from the remote regions of the notebook world, the company rolls out two new models that carry ’s new chips. Introducing the and . The hardware is decently sweet and powerful for the prices of $1,449 and $1,199 respectively. None too shabby, but could Lenovo seriously do something about the notebooks’ designs?

The 14-inch T420 comes with a slim construction bearing a 1600×900 resolution. The notebook is powered by a 2.5GHz Core i5-2520M CPU and GPU, a 2 GB DDR3 SDRAM and 250GB HDD space.

The 15.6-inch W520 workstation, on the other hand, is equipped with a 2.7GHZ Core i7-2620M chip, a 2GB NVIDIA Quadro 1000M Optimus Graphics, 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM 1333MHz, and 320GB HDD space. It comes with a 1366×768 screen resolution, but if you can shell out some more cash you can get the 1600×900 notebook.

    after getting the IBM thinkpad series laptops from IBM, lenovo has gained much market notice and they are now very well into making good laptops. However the X1 is one good laptop which competes well with Macbook Air.
