Minecraft 1.5 Preview: Weather Effects, Achievements and Stats

It's raining cats and dogs in Minecraft, as developers unveil a preview video of what the game would look like once Minecraft 1.5 kicks in.

Aching for some more Minecraft content? Well here’s a tease for you, folks over at the blocky world. The next update for Minecraft – Minecraft 1.5 – will unleash several new features, including a statistics log, the achievement system, and weather effects.

Markus “Notch” Persson was gracious enough to upload a preview video of what the update’s new features would look like in-game, though he admitted that there’s still some things needed to be fixed before totally releasing the update, particularly the weather effects.
