Wii Successor To Be Launched On 2012, Nintendo Confirms
So, what’s next after Wii?
The sales of Wiis consoles has decreased significantly as of 2010, with Nintendo selling only 15.1 million Wii units worldwide, compared to its previous sales of almost 90 million when the console was introduced in 2006.
According to a report by Mashable, the company also revealed its yearly financial results for 2010, marking a big drop in net profit — $825 million — which 66 percent less than in 2009.
Nintendo decided that this is a great time to announce the upcoming launch of a successor for Wii. The date of the launch is still undecided though, but the company gave its word to have a playable unit, and to provide more details and specifications with regards to the new Wii model at E3 Expo on the second week of June in Los Angeles.View Article Source »
