Thunderbolt and Sandy Bridge MacBook Airs Arriving This June

MacBook Air is about to get a taste of Sandy Bridges and Thunderbolts, and people might see them on shelves this June.
According to the “latest round of checks with suppliers and system builders” by Concord Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is currently preparing for the upcoming production of the refreshed Apple MacBook Air line this May. If things go as scheduled, the new MacBook Airs – which sport Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge microprocessors and the expected Thunderbolt I/O technology – will be set for a June release. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this will come true.
According to AppleInsider, the Apple MacBook Airs will replace the Penryn-based 45-nm Core 2 Duo chips for the new low-voltage Core i5 and Core i7 chips.
The latest MacBook Air versions have been on a serious sales decline ever since Apple has unveiled its latest MacBook Pro line-up. With the rumor mill churning that the next MacBook Air will be arriving by June, consumers might get interested again in picking up the thinnest notebook the world has ever seen.
