Nintendo Wii Price Drops to $150 and Nintendo Selects Available May 15
Nintendo Wii's last dance includes the tunes of a price cut and a collection of one of the best Wii games out there.
Gamers saw it coming, and Nintendo delivers. The gaming company has confirmed rumors, as they announced that they will be dropping Nintendo Wii’s price from $200 to $150 this May 15. Nintendo has also announced that they will be releasing Nintendo Selects, a collection of popular Wii games that is set for a release on the same date.
As said byNintendo of America, President Reggie Fils-Aime:
“From the day it launched, Wii has let players of all ages and experience levels have fun with one another. The new suggested retail pricing for both the hardware and select games will help create more of these magical moments for even greater numbers of people.”
Nintendo also announced that once the price drop kicks in, Wii Sports will no longer be part of the Wii bundle upon purchase. Instead buyers will be getting a copy of Mario Kart Wii game plus the steering wheel peripheral.
The Nintendo Select includes the following title:
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,
Animal Crossing: City Folk
Mario Super Sluggers and Wii Sports.
