China: iPad 2 Craze is On!
China’s gray market welcomes the latest member of the Apple family.
The sale of the iPad 2 in China’s gray market kicked off last Friday and more than 1,000 customers fall in line at the Apple store in Beijing. Apple permitted the sale of the iPad 2 in their four Chinese retail outlets and in their online Apple store in China.
Aside from the long queue of crowd outside the flagship Beijing Apple Store, there were also scalper looming around selling iPad 2s that are 200 to 300 yuan (equivalent to $30 to $45) higher than the original price of 3688 yuan ($568).
The website AppleInsider mentioned that this happening broke the record of the number of people who waited for the original iPad which was released September of last year.View Article Source »
