U.S. Copyright Group: On the Hunt for BitTorrent Downloaders
Go and check your Downloads folder. Any chances you downloaded the movie the Expendables last year? If not, lucky you. But if you happen to download this film, start praying you’ll not be part of the 23,000 file sharers who will likely be sued for piracy. FYI, Expendables has become the largest illegal BitTorrent-downloading case in U.S. history.
U.S. Copyright Group are set to subpoena Internet companies to share the names of those who downloaded the action film through torrent. It was last year that the U.S. Copyright Group started the practice of filing cases against BitTorrent downloaders.
Subpoenas are bound to be released this week. This is only a small portion of the 140,000 BitTorrent downloaders who get free copies of B-rated and porn movies online.View Article Source »
