Amazon Pays for Used Electronics
Do you have old gadgets that would like to trade for a gift card? Well, the search is now over, as Amazon exchanges your used electronics to gift card.
This strategy of the e-commerce site will eat the shipping costs in the deal, as it lets its users freely price out the value of their electronics. Users may trade in their cell phones, tablets, and digital cameras, assign the condition (good, acceptable, like new) and print off a shipping label.
If the customer’s assessment of the product’s condition is approved by Amazon, the company will provide the gift card “generally in less than 48 hours” after receiving it.
Amazon is competing with Gazelle, which has paid out $25 million in cash to customers for used electronics since its launching three years ago. The difference between the two, though, is that Gazelle is offering cash instead of gift cards.
As of today, Amazon has included video games, DVDs and textbooks in its trade-in program.View Article Source »
