The free version works with Excel, CSV files and HTML, while the pro version – tagged at $99 annually – provides additional support for Google Docs and Salesforce.com. The enterprise edition, which supports many other formats, may have different prices.

For $49.99, the OmniGraffle can help you build charts, diagrams and other . Also available for OSX, the OmniGraffle has a dedicated following. But if you’re looking for a cheaper business app for iPad with the same function, you can purchase the OmniGraphSkether for only $14.99.

5. Numbers

Numbers is a spreadsheet application that can create different types of charts and visualizations from data within spreadsheets.
