Twitter Rolls out the Follow Button
From now on, users no longer need to visit a website's Twitter page in order to follow them. All they have to do is click that Follow Button.
Twitter has begun offering an embeddable button called Follow Button. The Follow Button enables one-click subscription to a Twitter account associated with any website. Before this, a website owner can link their Twitter profile page offsite. However, users have to visit the associated profile in order to follow it. People who are interested in subscribing to updates from a website itself can still do so through RSS feeds.
But Twitter power user, Kevin Marks, said that it would be nice if the Follow Button includes rel=”me” in the code.
