Dell’s 7-inch Tablet Has a Keyboard
Dell is coming up with a design that’s unlike any other tablet found in the market. Their "soon-to-come" 7-inch tablet will be packed with a keyboard.
Instead of imitating the look and feel of the iPad as with the other tablet manufacturers, Dell has apparently improved on the Apple tablet’s weakest characteristic, the keyboard. The split keyboard is part of a slide-out keypad that gives each of its users’ thumbs an easy shot at quick typing.
Dell presented the prototype in both black and white finishes. Each had a rear camera which hopefully will have better quality than the iPad. This tablet gives tech geeks a feeling of déjà vu, as it looks close to the failed tablets of five years ago that Microsoft and Intel codenamed “Project Origami.”
Dell might have figured the reason why the Origami PCs didn’t do well in the market: They were underpowered, their touchscreens didn’t work very well, and they were too large, heavy and expensive. Not because their keyboards weren’t good.
But will this 7-inch tablet prototype comes to fruition or will just be a snoozer? It’s hard to tell.View Article Source »
