Sony Will Phase out Alpha A850, A290 and A390
After the the launch of Sony's newest NEX line, the NEX-C3 and Alpha 35 cameras, Sony declared that they will cease the production of Alpha A850,A290 and A390 cameras.
While the limelight is on Sony’s new NEX-C3 and Alpha 35 camera, another news from the company arose. Sony cancelled its Alpha A850, A290 and A390. A year after the release of the three lines, the full frame Alpha 850 DSLR is now due to be phased out this summer, while the Alpha 290 and 390 DSLRs have already had their production stopped.
Sony will stop the production of the Alpha 850 by August as the camera is to close in specification and pricing to Alpha 900. The company also announced that the 14.2 megapixel entry level Alpha 290 and 390, released only last June, are being phased out and are no longer available in production.View Article Source »
