G-Slate, 2x Faster Than iPad 2 and 3x Faster Than Xoom?
T-mobile's G-Slate seems to be taking the top spot in the market with a recent price drop off and a document claiming that it is 2x Faster than iPad 2 and 3x faster than Xoom.
T-mobile boasted the G-Slate as one of the best tablets in the market – not only because of a recently announced price drop off – but also because they’ve received a “legal approval” which allows them to promote the tablet as “2x faster than the iPad 2 on AT&T and Verizon, and over 3x faster than the Motorola Xoom.”
However, these demands are based only on T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ 42Mbps network, AT&T’s HSPA+ network and Verizon’s 3G network. T-mobile’s G-Slate is not also capable to fully use the 42Mbps HSPA+ since the said device is only limited to 14.4Mbps.
T-mobile as well takes advantage of the not yet released 4G LTE Motorola Xoom. Knowing that Xoom’s update to 4G LTE will be delayed, what would T-mobile say if Moto’s new creation arrives and beats the G-Slate? Well, let’s just hope that the lower costs and 4G feature will make G-Slate win over Xoom.
Meanwhile, T-mobile is not aiming for any “Marketing based on a technicality” set-up. Instead, the mobile company is focusing on their network so they could proudly say “Hey Verizon, our HSPA+ network is larger than your LTE network and we have more than 3 phones that work on it.”View Article Source »
