Which is better: Motorola Xoom or iPad 2?

There are probably a lot of that were released recently. One of these is the Xoom, which is usually compared to its rival — ’s 2. The Xoom has added some advanced features that are not present in its previous versions, and perhaps these specs are considered strong enough to keep up with ’s . In this article, GADG has listed the top five reasons why you should choose Motorola Xoom over Apple’s iPad 2.

1. Larger display and screen size
If compared to iPad 2’s 9.4 inches screen, the Xoom has better screen size of 10.1 inches with WXGA (1280x 800 pixels; 150 pixels / inch), which is best for watching HD-widescreen videos.

2. Good front and rear camera
The Xoom features a 2-megapixel front camera for video taking, 5-megapixel main camera, autofocus, and a dual-LED flash; while iPad 2 only has a VGA-quality cam with 640 x 480 size, and has no flash.

3. Includes ports
The Motorola Xoom comes with a HDMI and Micro USB ports, which owners can use in watching videos out of the tablet and connecting to other devices. iPad 2, on the other hand, does not cater for these accessories, pushing customers to buy separate adapters for their device.

4. Better Connectivity
Aside from having connectivity ports, the Xoom also has a MicroSD support, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR. iPad has no card reader and MicroSD slot.

5.Flash support, Honeycomb, 4G
These three features topped the Xoom over iPad 2. The tablet supports Flash so users can play large and high-definition videos, can be upgraded from 3G to 4G (iPad is only using 3G), and allows users to multi-task easily with its Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

Based on these facts, the Motorola Xoom has defeated Apple’s iPad 2 in some features. However, it does not necessarily mean that the iPad 2 was not a good choice for consumers. It’s still up to you if you’re going to choose the Xoom over Apple’s, or not.
