LG Optimus Chat C550
O2 UK just launched a new LG Android smartphone — the LG Optimus Chat C550. This handset features a 2.8-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3.0MP camera, a 140MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA, GPS, WiFi network, and a 3.5mm headset jack. It also runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS, and is already available in the market for $224.
Samsung C414 Entry-level Phone
Manufactured by SaskTel, the Samsung C414 entry-level phone is equipped with a 2.2-inch internal screen, a 2.0 mega-pixel camera, a Bluetooth connection, a music and video player, and a microSD card slot that’s expandable for up to 16GB memory. This recently launched handset is now available in Canada for $149.99. Otherwise, consumers with a new three-year contract can purchase the phone for only $39.99.
Launched last July 14, the LG Cosmos 2 offers features that are quite interesting to most consumers. The handset allows users to access Facebook, MySpace and Twitter in no time. It has a four-row QWERTY keyboard, a 1.3MP camera, a microSD card slot for a storage expansion of up to 32GB, a music player, Bluetooth 2.1+ EDR, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It also features a document viewer, making it easier for you to check work-related scripts. The LG Cosmos 2, produced by Verizon Wireless, retails for $29.99 after a $50 mail in rebate with a new two-year contract.
Recently launched by Cricket, the Huawei Ascend II is an Android smartphone that is designed for consumers with low-budget. It is equipped with a 3.5-inch 480 x 320 capacitive touchscreen display, a camera with 5.0 mega-pixels, a microSD card slot, a 1400mAh battery, and a 3.5mm headset jack. Aside from that, this smartphone features a connection for 3G, WiFi, and Bluetooth; powered by a 600MHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. For now, the Huawei Ascend II can be purchased for just $129.99 (promotional introductory rate). It’s normal price is $179.99.
LG just launched another dual SIM phone, called the A230. The handset has a 1.77-inch 128 x 160 display, a 256MB internal memory, a microSD card slot (expandable to 8GB), two SIM card slots, a 1.3 mega-pixel camera, entertainment features such as MP3 player and FM radio, a Bluetooth connection, and a 950mAh battery. The LG A230 runs in GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, and retails for $87.
