Most Anticipated Console Games of 2011 [TRAILERS]

Trailers and release dates for the most-awaited video console games, unveiled.

The year 2011 will become more exciting for all players, as most of the best console games are expected to be released this year. That includes, , : , Star Wars: , Spider Man: Edge of Time, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

So players, get ready because GADG listed down the upcoming video games – along with their trailers – that would surely make your gaming experience unforgettable.

1. Need for Speed:

Electronic Arts released this gameplay trailer for their upcoming Need For Speed: The Run title, which is scheduled to hit North America on November 15, 2011. This ever-popular racing video game is expected to be available for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii, PC and Nintendo 3DS platforms.

2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Slated for a release on November 8, 2011 for PC, PS3, Xbox 360 platforms, this first-person shooter video game is considered to be the first Call of Duty installment that has a special built-in support for color-blind gamers. Watch the teaser after the jump.

3. Batman:

An upcoming sequel to the Batman: Arkham Asylum game, Arkham City is currently in the works and is expected to have its official launching on October 18. The video game, published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, will hit PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows. See the trailer after the break.

4. Spider Man: Edge of Time

After series of rumors, Activision finally kicked off their video teaser for the forthcoming Spider Man: Edge of Time title. Along with its developer Beenox, the company added a unique feature on the gameplay, allowing Spider Man’s actions to affect other characters in the game and vice versa. Spider Man: Edge of Time is slated for a release on October 4.

5. Star Wars: The Old Republic

Based from the original Star Wars universe, this multiplayer online role-playing video game is set to invade the PC platform in the second quarter of 2011. The trailer ‘Join the Fight’, which can be viewed after the break, has been included in the Comic-Con International event that was held last July 21-24.


Mario Kart 7 is said to be the first game in the Mario Kart series to hit the Nintendo 3DS platform. The game will add a new feature, which entitles gamers to share Ghost Data and play online through a multiplayer mode. Mario Kart 3DS will be out on Holiday 2011 in United States.

7. Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD

At last, Capcom announced the release dates for their forthcoming Resident Evil 4 HD and Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD titles. Though both games will be available for Xbox LIVE and PSN, the two will kick off in different dates. The Resident Evil 4 HD will hit US on Sept. 20, while the Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD is set for a Sept. 27 launch.
