ACER Iconia Tab A100, to Hit U.S Market in August
Seven-inch Android 3.2 Iconia Tab, set to be released in August for $300.
The tablet is said to hit the market sometime in August with a retail price that is much cheaper than its predecessor. With a cost of only $300 compared to the $450 10-inch A500, this seven-inch tablet still features the same Android 3.2 system and Tegra 2 processor, but will be sporting a much smaller screen and memory storage of 8GB and 512MB RAM.
The initial plan of the Taiwan-based manufacturer was to release the Iconia Tab A100 early in May 2011. However, due to the unsuccessful in-fixing of Android 3.0, they’ve just decided to wait for the Android 3.2 to be shoehorned in the tablet.
Aside from the A100, there were also two low-end Windows 7 notebooks that are slated to be released in August. The first one is the Aspire 5750Z, a 15.6-inch device that features a Pentium processor, 4GB RAM and a 500GB hard drive. The notebook retails for $475 — a pricing similar to the second anticipated device: The Aspire 7739Z.View Article Source »
