Apple Top Smartphone Seller, Market Analyst Reports
A total of 20.3 million iPhones shipped this year.
Just a week ago, it was reported that Apple surpassed Nokia as the world top vendor of smartphone in terms on volume. This week, Apple achieves another feat as Strategy Analytics (SA) released figures that confirmed Apple supremacy in the smartphone market. According to the SA’s statistics, Apple delivered 20.3 million smartphones last quarter that is a growth of 240% from value of 8.4 million iPhones last year. Samsung came in the second spot with 19.2 million smartphones. In third place is Nokia with 16.7 smartphones in the second quarter of this year. For June, SA rated the global market share distribution of Apple with 18.5%, 17.5% for Samsung, Nokia with 15.2% and 48.9% for other manufacturers.View Article Source »
