Apple and Samsung: Reigning the Smartphone Market
Strategy Analytics revealed last Sunday that Apple and Samsung takes the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the global smartphone market share respectively.
As reported by Strategy Analytics last Sunday, Apple and Samsung Electronics out pointed Nokia in the global smartphone market for the Q2 of 2011. Apple claimed an 18.5% share in the market, with sales of up to 20.3 million iPhones. Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics dominates the number two spot with 17.5% of market share. The company sold 19.2 million units.
On the other hand, Nokia’s sales went down to 16.7 million units in second quarter of the year. Last year, the Finnish mobile phone company rolled out 23.8 million handsets, claiming 38.1% of the global smartphone market share.View Article Source »
