Motorola Droid Bionic appeared in FCC, indicating that will have a GSM roaming.

’s new was revealed this weekend in a newly published filing. The user manual displays a “global phone” section, stating that the 2.3 device has a GSM hardware for world roaming. If these details are true, then it will be ’s first LTE-based phone with voice outside of the US.

A view of the leak also confirmed the rumors that the new Bionic is the Targa. Motorola often tried to portray the new Bionic as a modification of the original, but it’s now known to virtually began from scratch just several weeks ago after its first design was displayed at CES. Motorola also officially acknowledged that LTE-capable hardware issues were the reason for the delay.

Verizon should then sell a wireless charging back for the said device, to serve those who have a matching charging plate. A chance was seen that the pre-release manual is using boilerplate copy, and that the Droid Bionic won’t have any GSM. Motorola did not mention it so far.

The said device, which is a 4.3-inch, dual-core smartphone is set to arrive in September. Verizon’s tendency to charge a premium for 4G phones could push the Bionic up to $250 or more on contract.
