OnLive UK, Coming on September 22
OnLive, in collaboration with BT, will hit the UK clouds this September 22!
Last June, cloud gaming service – OnLive – announced that it would arrive in United Kingdom in autumn in collaboration with BT. The company launched a Player Tag during the E3 2011, enabling gamers to reserve their username and register for an OnLive UK Founding Member account. Good thing, players now have an exact date as to when they can make use of their reserved usernames.
Opening at Eurogamer Expo 2011 in London, OnLive will launch in the UK on September 22. Those attending the expo will be able to acquire system giveaways and demo sessions. The OnLive UK will be fully integrated with its North American service, including trans-Atlantic massive spectating and voice chat, and multiplayer games for long-distance multiplayer.
Steve Perlman, OnLive’s Founder and CEO said: “OnLive will utterly transform gaming in the UK. No discs, big downloads or specialised hardware needed. OnLive gives you the latest games instantly, anytime, anywhere on HDTV, PC, Mac, as well as iPad, Android tablets. High-performance gaming as accessible as streaming video, with unique social features such as massive spectating with voice chat and Facebook integration.”
OnLive also has plans in expanding to other European countries and additional continents.View Article Source »
